Why should VT "shut up"? I guess if I was a criminal I would not want everyone to know what a loser I was either.

Exactly. The TJ Team seems to never shut up.
So "Justice" aka Revenge is what you claim to be looking for. Justice being moral rightness based on your beliefs. This moral rightness would mean inprisioning the two partners of TJwaconia according to your views and judgements. I certainlty hope for your familys sake and your souls sake that you would not feel moraly right with the imprisonment of two loving fathers to their young children. dont you realise other options?... I hope for the best in terms of any children involved in the imprisonment of their fathers and i hope it does not come to that in this situation.
To the last poster, I hate to tell you, but it is a waste of time, telling people on this blog, anything.
It is very apparent, that for some, forgiveness is not in their vocabulary, but what they don't know, is that the hate will eat them alive.
Just know that you are not the only one out there that has forgiveness in your heart. I too, think it would be horrible taking these children's fathers away from them. I know this is not what the victims want to hear, but too bad. They are just upset, that TJ still has some true friends out there. Just shows them, that there are some decent human beings left out here in this world, and we are two of them. We do not stand in judgment of others.
Before anyone goes off, this is not Watkins, ya imagine that, there is some other people that consider them a friend, in spite of what they may or may not have done.

So what do you think should happend to them for all they have done?
Do you think convicted criminals should not have to pay for their acts just because they have children? I agree that it is very sad that the children should suffer the loss of a parent to prison.
Maybe they can work out a payment plan to the city and the people they owe money to? How about
1000's of hours of community service instead?
They may have a few friends left, but not many. I wonder if you would still be friends with someone that stole your money and ruined your credit? People have every right to be angry at what they have done.
Maybe some have forgiven them but most will not forget.

You are right people were idiots to trust Jon and Amy Helgason.
They are sociopathic greedy liars.
As for morally right sending them to prison? What they did was not not only morally bankrupt but it was illegal and vicious, why should they be treated any differently then how they treated others.
In response to justice vs. revenge and moral righteousness.
I am not aware of anyone seeking "revenge". Victims have a right to bring a civil case against someone that has stolen from them. Please define how this is morally wrong or revengeful? We have a right in this country to protect ourselves and our families from criminals.
Revenge would be going outside the legal system to obtain justice on your own. Who do you know that has done this?
I am also not aware of any victims that have brought a criminal case against them that would result in prison time.
If they serve prison time it is because of the US District Attorney's case. The victims have no control on what their sentences will be.
They did this to themselves.

Their probation officer has it. All the people impacted by the fraud were notified of the sentencing so they could attend.
